Former UFC ‘double champ’ Henry Cejudo shared his thoughts on how to defeat Jon Jones, although he wasn’t very optimistic about Stipe Miocic’s chances.

How to beat Jon Jones? That’s the one-million question.

Bones has never been defeated in 27 fights, and although there’s a loss in his resume it was because the American got disqualified for illegal elbows while he was giving a beating to his opponent.

The Rochester native easily and quickly dispatched his last rival, Cyril Gane via guillotine choke, in a fight that many experts believed the French fighter could hand Jones his first loss inside the octagon.

After becoming heavyweight champ, Jones called out who’s considered the best UFC heavyweight ever, Stipe Miocic, who lost the belt to Francis Ngannou in his last bout.

Wrestling is the way to go, but “good luck”

Cejudo, who is expected to come back to the UFC in spring to face current bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling, trained with Jon Jones ahead of the Gane fight and knows Bones’ game well.

The 36-year-old gave some advice to Miocic if he wants to stand a chance against the considered the greatest mixed martial artist by many.

You’re going to have to wrestle him. So that’s the only thing that I could see Stipe Miocic doing, because his hands, he’s not faster than Jon”, he said on his YouTube channel.

“Jon’s just different. Jon has a different length. Jon recognizes distance a lot better than somebody like DC”, Cejudo added.

However, he predicts that Miocic, a former NCAA Division I wrestler, will have a hard time trying to outclass Bones in that department.
